Eliza Louise Newman is a lens-based artist residing in New York, NY – with a focus on photography and video. Raised in Waco, TX, she received her B.S. from Baylor University before moving to New York to receive an MFA in Photography at Parsons School of Design. Eliza’s photography focuses on the built environment, natural landscapes, and portraits. By studying the intersection of humans to nature, the land, and its resources through a visual eye, Eliza captures the beauty of the world by weaving untold stories through her written pieces and visual imagery. She has exhibited at Parsons School of Design, Photoville NYC, Pingyao International Photo Festival, Rotterdam International Photo Festival and the Bandung Photography Triennale in Indonesia. She currently works at the School of Visual Arts in the MFA Photography, Video and Related Media department.
